We were brought onto this project by Peterson Builders, Inc. to help them and their client work out the floor plan details and select final materials. Nestled in the Ogden Valley between Powder Mountain and Snowbasin, this mountain home is created for all seasons. Perched atop a cul-de-sac, the 360 degree views of this property are absolutely breathtaking. Contemporary yet warm, we wanted to create an exterior that blended into the natural surroundings with picturesque views that are capitalized by windows at every angle and a skybridge that doubles as a gallery space. Our clients wanted minimal, minimal, minimal, which we landed on for the majority of the finishes, lighting, and common areas. We snuck in a few fun pops here and there through the use of tile, vintage rugs, and a bright blue laundry room. Taking cues and colors from nature, we worked to create a juxtaposition of shapes while keeping the intimate feel of the natural surroundings. For the most part, the massive picture windows and the views beyond provide the color, texture, and pattern that really complete this space.
